So this was definitely a different read for me but I honestly wasn't blown away. It was a bit of a letdown and it felt like it was longer than it needed to be.

This book was just ok. It had its moments where I swooned but overall I had a hard time following the motivations and feelings of the characters. I appreciated the movement towards women's rights and treating people respectfully. 
I guess I just had a hard time really immersing myself in the story. It was just ok.

I loved the characters and it was a unique, interesting storyline. I wish the plot hadn’t hinged on what was essentially a miscommunication between two characters. Seriously, one honest conversation would’ve turned the book into a novella. Even so, I really enjoyed it.
