Not my typical romance topic, but I really dug the banter and the golden retriever energy of the two main characters. Josh was all green flags all the from very first scene.

The miscommunication was frustrating.

I enjoyed this book so much more than I thought I would. I didn’t know anything about it before I picked it up but quickly fell in love with it. I was hooked from the start and very much enjoyed the whole plot and the characters.

The FMC was likeable from the start, I definitely resonate with her control freak side as I am very much a self confessed control freak. And Josh, well Josh is something else. He is so sexy but the way he helps Clara (FMC) and settles her nerves is what makes you fall in love with him. God I love men who are written by women!

The plot was great and I love the themes spoken about in the book. Sex work is spoken about in such a positive way and opens your eyes to the industry as well.

I have given this book five stars because I was hooked from the start, I stayed interested throughout and didn’t feel like any of it dragged or was unnecessary.

This book is S-T-E-A-M-Y. I would call it open-door, but in many scenes there wasn't even a door to be found, so...do with that what you will!

Here's the story: Clara (who comes from a WASP family in the northeast) moves to California to move in with her childhood crush. Her only real plan is to get close enough to him that he might finally be interested in her. Within literal minutes of her arrival, said crush tells her his band is going on tour and he found a guy on Craigslist to sublet his room for the summer. Enter: the very attractive Josh, who, Clara soon finds out, is one of the top porn stars in the industry. Obviously, sexual hi-jinks ensue.

The writing here isn't bad, and while it definitely calls for a suspension of belief in some parts, the storyline was pretty decent for a book of this nature. Clara was a bit annoying at times, but there was some really good banter between her and Josh that even made me laugh out loud at times. Overall, a fine book, but I wouldn't recommend for anyone who blushes easily.
