I wish that I had read this book as a child! I'm sure it would have been one of my favorites! It's genuinely Alice in Wonderland from a boy's imagination. The story never stops for breath. I do wish things slowed down a bit towards the end and there was a little more of a closing to the story. The ending felt rushed... and sad. I know he has a positive outlook, but it's still sad.
