I wish I had read this book growing up! I would have loved it. Such an amazing fantasy with the exact type of word-play that I adore.
This book is a delight with all the word play! How did I miss this gem as a child? I laughed out loud time and time again!
4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Excellent! It reminds me of being a child…
This had been on my TBR list for the longest time. My daughter introduced me to this book while she was in high school. “The Phantom Tollbooth” was a required read for her humanities class. I have only heard of good things since then.

Must read for kids, easy 5 stars.
I can’t believe I never read this book before 22! I thought that I had hit all of the classic 60s works when I was pretty young, but somehow this one slipped under the radar. It’s a charming and creative and funny story about the value and beauty of learning and I would recommend it to any child or adult in my life. Lovely!!!
