This book gets to the heart of problematic views through a series of intense and challenging questions, discussed in a sensitive and honest way. These are the types of conversations that need to be heard and had, among folks who don't understand the Jewish People, Judaism, and specifically, antisemitism. It is a serious danger -- not just to Jews, but to all.

Good as an audiobook but I wasn't always clear on the intended audience. More of an explainer than a conversation.

Did a great job of condensing thousands of years of Jewish history in a readable way. Also liked that it addressed some common questions that I didn't know how to adequately answer before this book.

“But I think we can all reasonably agree on this: people are not always their government. And a government is not always its people.”

Very quick read and challenging conversation. A reminder we need to listen to others, especially those who do not match our social context, and that we don't have to always agree on things to be understanding, compassionate, and care for each other.

A very good book for non-Jews! Also a great one to listen as an audiobook - it's a very quick read this way, just 7.5 hours overall, which translates into 3-4 hours on 1.5-2x, which feel like a very long podcast or a YouTube show.
Overall I think I liked this one, and I will be buying a copy for my mom. Hoping it will be translated into more languages!
