I get it... Celaena is supposed to be a stuck-up badass bitch and mature over time. What is with the lack of compassion for the healer? The narration depicts Celaena as being egotistical and unsympathetic to Yrene's plight, but her actions didn't quite match up with this. It was a nice little tidbit, but I wish the character traits were more aligned to what we see in the first novella and the first novel (since this is in between the two...).

Meh.

An assassin with heart and morals.
It seems that Celaena is so much more than her job title. These novellas are building the underlying goodness of our main character. This one still got a slow start. I really liked the new characters introduced in this one. I hope to see more of the healer.
