Awww I found this one (and Yrene) really sweet. Celaena teaching other girls to defend themselves is the BEST.

(Preferred the first novella tho)

I get the essence of the story, but it was boring. Yrene is a lovely character, tho.

A freaking cute mini story.
adventurous challenging dark emotional mysterious sad tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Yes
Loveable characters: Yes
Diverse cast of characters: Yes
Flaws of characters a main focus: Complicated

this was a mini book that show you the meaning of girl power.

This review is based on “The Assassins Blade” book which has all 5 prequels in it. There is debate as to where this lies in the series. It is a prequel collection (I didn’t realize this at first). I started to read TOG and decided to come here first and personally it was the right choice for me. There is backstory and a significant relationship that are highlighted and without this one you don’t feel the full feel of it. And SJM fans usually live for the feels she brings to the table.

Get ready. Get set. Get wrecked.

Men and their audacity

This girl is kicking ass everywhere she goes

She was wildfire. AHHH BITCH IKKK. Ok loving Yrene a little more now I've experienced the backstory. I promised myself I would actually write intelligible reviews, so here goes nothing. I'm guessing this book is going to be an average 3 star. It's just a good time and reminiscing of a character we love. I personally think I love this book the most, having read the while series, compared to if i had read it halfway through. It's a good way to appreciate the characters. Can we please stop fucking talking about her age tho. I get it she's successful and amazing and can take her own in a fight, and I have been on crutches for dancing into my book case to had.I GET IT we are the same age. Stop adding fuel to the fire. Arggg she even gets that.

This small and simple short story with Celaena staying in a port town before heading off to the Red Desert to train with the Silent Assassin's. I liked how it was simply nothing more than her fuming over the upcoming punishment, and ending up helping a young woman, Yrene Towers, who wants to be a healer. It was really nice to also see Celaena lighten up a tiny bit and help Yrene learn to defend herself AND give her the money needed to get to Antica and attend the healing academy there.
