I felt this story was just OK. it was my least favorite from the novellas, I think because the majority of it was set around a character we were all unfamiliar with. Just knowing her presence would be insignificant in the bigger picture, made me unexcited about it. That being said, it was a good story but definitely not my favorite
I’m sure we will see Yrene later in this series and I’m glad for it! She reminds me of myself - so many dreams that are clouded with fear. I loved how kind Celaena was to her in both encouraging her and giving her the means to fight for herself and her future.

Another tiny story but fantastically written. Loved the way the story makes me want to devour the book but not finish it entirely at the same time.
I love that the novellas flow like one novel. I missed Yrene and enjoyed a glimpse at the infamous encounter she had with Celaena in Innish. While reading ToD I wanted to know this story, but knew it was best to wait until I finished the series to read the novellas.

Ma Celaena era felice di sbarazzarsene e si augurava che Yrene avrebbe impegnato quella spilla che valeva una piccola fortuna. Sperava che il gioiello di un’assassina sarebbe servito a pagare gli studi di una guaritrice.

I loved this short story and I think it really helped me understand her more as a character and see how this ties into the other books in the series.
