Put your toes in the sand and howl at the moon ❤️

Flirting With 40 is an addictive age-gap/fake relationship romance that will melt your heart! Blakely Foxx is trying to move on after her husband left her for a younger woman. Her new boss is also younger and isn't making life any easier on Blakely either. Blakely is feeling a bit lost and a bit like a failure when a sexy younger man tries to talk to her at a bar, and she just unloads on him. Slade Henderson is a cardio-thoracic surgeon who is completely captivated by the gorgeous woman next to him. He is intrigued by her confidence, and her insecurities. Their first meet doesn't go as well as either of them wanted but fate brings them together again. When Blakely needs Slade to be her fake boyfriend on a work retreat, he jumps at the chance to help her. It starts out a bit awkward but the activities during the retreat were fun, helping Blakely to feel more confidence and bringing them together. The transformation of their relationship was sweet and romantic, and the sexual tension and fiery chemistry was off the charts! But what happens when they return to the real world and their demanding careers get in the way? This tender, heartwarming story has all the feels and it will make you laugh, smile and swoon all at the same time.

What a delightful little find. I picked this up only because Zachary Webber was a narrator and honestly, it was very cute, good dialogue, and a cinnamon roll mmc to curl your toes.

Flirting with 40 is her best

This book is hands down Bromberg’s best work to date. Talk about character development, background stories, and witty and thoughtful dialogue. I’m a huge fan and just loved this book.

Kristi Bromberg has a way with words and characters. In Flirting with 40 the heroine is having a hard time at work. Her new boss has it in for her and her ex-husband has a new younger version of herself. When she stops in at a trendy bar for a drink and to acquaint herself with a younger crowd she meets a handsome younger man.
Blakely needs a boost of self-confidence and a second accidental meeting with Slade is just what it takes. She is the older one at work and can't believe that a younger man (she's 39 and he's 30) would be interested.
He helps her out when she needs to go on an office retreat and everyone is bringing someone. He goes along to help out and what starts out as a fake turns into the real thing as they fall in love and she gains her confidence back.

“You’re all I need, Blakely. You’re who I’d pick every time. Hands down.” Our lips meet again. “Just you.”

2.5 stars.

This started out cute but the third act was annoying and then it got cute again, but overall, not a bad read!

Blakely is a woman who has lost some of herself after her husband left her for another woman. Her confidence is at a low. Slade is a resident physician with a lot of confidence, who’s world has been shaken by an incident that has affected him deeply. So, what happens when they meet by chance?

K. Bromberg is a phenomenal story teller! Every time I read one of her books, I dive in an don’t stop till I am done, and that’s what I did with this! This book is so good that you want to be a part of the story!! These characters and the things happening in their lives are real and relatable. They jump up and grab you and drag you in until you finish the whole story and find out what happens! They also make you want to know more!!

I loved this book, and I finished it in one sitting!! Have you started it yet? What’s stopping you!!? Go read it now!

This is such a lighthearted, funny, and banter filled romcom with an affable and sweet MMC, and a relatable FMC.
I loved it and it was a great way to spend an afternoon
