Seriously, check your triggers with this one. There were some scenes of abuse and torture that were way too drawn out and gratuitous. Otherwise it was a fun, albeit dark, read.

I’m not squeamish about revenge violence - even if it’s torture but this was gratuitously detailed. I was both icked out and bored, because the scenes were so detailed and long. It’s also unnecessary to have that much on page sexual assault. There were multiple instances of detailed on page sexual assault. It was gratuitous. It was also never healed or dealt with, within the story, beyond violence porn about it. 

I think it was super messed up one alpha would only bond her during her heat, a heat that the traumatized woman stated she didn’t want to happen and was terrified of happening. It was so manipulative and not something a caring partner would do.

The omegaverse part of the story took a backseat, it was odd. Like yes, it was ABO and used the terms and there were heats but it just felt like mafia violence and trauma porn with omegaverse vocab.

This book was easily a 4-5 for me until the very end when the author fumbled so hard I had to force myself to not DNF at 90% in. 

Spoilers ahead

including the male omega getting r*p** wasnt the straw that broke my love for this book.. it was how everyone seemed to forget or ignore that happened to him?? They praised their other omega for savimg him and after a doctor barely looks him over its just glossed over. It was so annoying and really gross of his Alphas to not be doting on him and comforting him all the time. Felt more like an OBAAA story then OOAAA because what the heck kind of alpha hears their omega was r*p** and just gives him a hug and says lets get you home? Like?? What???!
