Wow! This book was amazing! It starts with 6 young kids finding adventure in an old chapel. Then 12 years later all 6 of them are brought together again. It’s a book about destiny and finding your true self. And as to be expected Sierra’s book is sexy and erotic. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

Slow to start and build the characters as compared to some other books by Simone but got good in the end.

Picture a modern day Merchant Ivory film with a bunch of bdsm-friendly bisexuals, add in an old mansion with a mysterious past, and some folklore.

I'm not 100% sure what I just read but I think I kinda liked it. I think i'll read the second book to make sure.

The author's writing improved as the book went on, but there were parts where I thought I was back in 2010 reading a wattpad story. Some of it felt really silly.
Things I didn't like:
- The childish writing in some places, like the main character referring to herself as a "sex monster". Was really dumb sometimes.
Spoiler -The weird virginity thing? Why was that necessary? I understand that it is a kink for some people but it felt kind of out of place with characters that were this horny all the time. I really appreciated that she mentions that virginity is a construct but it anyways felt really fetishized in the end.

- Our two main love interests, aka Broody Boy Template 1 and Mr Lipring. Those were their entire personalities.
- Seriously what's the with obsession with the bloody lipring? It's mentioned in every single scene where Saint was shown.
- There's so many stupid made-up problems.
Spoiler Like the fact that Saint refuses to be with Poe because of the weird expectations of the town. What is this? 1830? It was stupid, especially because they just wanted to have sex with each other. No need to be so dramatic.
- The forced orgy scene. Don't get me wrong, it's what we all hoped for, but it was done in a weird way. I can be cool with a bunch of people having an ancient sex ritual but the way it was decided was strange and felt forced. Especially since 4 of the 6 were virgins, for no good reason.

- The book was 90% pining, longing, will they/won't they, "oh no we can't!". The smut finally comes (no pun intended), but only at the end of the book really with little crumbs strewn in between.
-We never find out why Saint and Auden has beef. It was annoying how she avoided it.

Things I liked:
-Lots of representation. All the characters are bi.
-Poly rep, which is quite rare.
-Refreshing lack of heteronormative and patriarchal views.
-The actual smut was good, when you finally get there.
