A great, shockingly timely read. Loved the first third and was shocked by the similarities. And then I found how close to home it all was a drudge while going through the Covid quarantine (you think?!). The ending is lovely and moving and euphoric and hopefully a harbinger of things to come in the real world.

This book dragged in the middle which brought it down in stars. Apart from that the characters, setting and elements of the plot felt so real and raw, nothing was didactic but I still finished feeling like life lessons were imparted. Camus Fanclub 4ever

I thought this would be depressing, but it truly it wasn't. But I have to be honest with myself and say, that I didn't get most of the stories information and character arks, because I listened sporadically to the audio version. So I want to read it again, but probably not in the near future.
