Min första Slaughter, definitivt inte den sista! Länk till recensionen: https://ewelinasbokblogg.blogspot.com/2019/06/de-fordarvade.html
What I love about Karin Slaughter books is that I can never figure out the "bad guy" which is always a winner for me.
The antisemitism, sexism, and homophobia wrapped up in this book were awful. Not a great read. I'm not quite sure why I finished it.
Great plot development, the author does a good job of showing the difficulties of becoming apart of inner city law enforcement and dealing with the nepotism and 'good old boy' attitudes. Class and cultural differences make for an interesting feature of the novel. Outstanding twist at the end keeps the reader guessing and it finishes strong.
High-octane thriller of a woman who has to become a cop out of necessity. Great read.
God the 70’s, not a fan of the killer povs but I liked Kate and Maggie. Good plot and stayed interesting the way through. Always enjoy Slaughters work 4.5/5
A gritty look at discrimination in the police department in the 70s wrapped up in an excellent mystery. I loved the interactions between the female cops as they try to find a shooter targeting the police.
Really enjoyed. Interesting glimpse into the '70's in Atlanta Police dept and race, women, etc.
