Having read the original Strengthsquest written by Donald O Clifton, I found this version to be sorely lacking in information. As others have mentioned, it feels like a pitch to direct you to the website. That said, I also hated the last book I read by Tom Rath.
Interesting and useful, but also very much a business book.
Read for work.
My top five strengths (according to the assessment):

The material is useful BUT you have to do a lot of work if you check this out from the library. This book was written as a way to make a ton of money and help them write another book. There's a code in the back to take a quiz that identifies your top 5 strengths and gives you a report. The book mainly introduces the background on the quiz and why you should take buy this book and take this quiz even if you've already taken the one from the first book, strengths finder 1.0. The data from people taking the first quiz set up their new quiz and helped them write strengths finder 2.0. Following the introduction, the book goes through detailed descriptions of the different strengths and ways to work with people to their particular strengths. This part of the book is helpful, even as a library checkout, IF you are willing to do a little work. Basically, as you read the book, make quick notes and you'll find that certain strengths resonate strongly with you. Some strengths may be clear descriptions of observations of co-workers and friends. You can review the top ones that resonate with you and determine which are your top 5 and read the entries more carefully in those sections. TADA! Additionally, as you read and notice family members/friends/coworkers that have certain strengths the book can give you suggestions for your interactions with those people.
It's not engaging reading. You have to do the work for yourself, especially if you don't want to pay $15 for an online quiz. It is helpful though.
I think this book would help make them more money if they had an option to buy extra quizzes for a lower price than $15. Clearly, if they've made two books and will likely make a 3rd and they're able to sell them, then they've figured out their own sweet spot.

A tutor persuade me to buy it, and I bought it cause I wanted to be open minded. It is a 'horoscope' for people who like scientific language. Waste of money.
The concept of this book is good - talent multiplied by invested time improving that time will eventually equal a personal strength - something you're known for being great at. This book comes with a single-use access code to take the online assessment - so it's practically useless from your library (where I got my copy).
Use a 1-10 scale and rate yourself.. You can understand yourself and your motives much clearer this way..
