Counting this in my reading challenge this year because I had to read it for work.. While the initial concept is interesting, it reads like the typical self-help, career driven book. Comes with an access code to take the online assessment (not sure if I fully agree with my results anyway, which are subject to change like any personality test!) and you only get your top 5 strengths. If you want an in depth analysis with more of your strengths, you have to pay more (shocker)!
Well, am I really finished with this book? Can't say so.
For 99 Riyals you get a small book (expensive?), but the real thing you'll get is an access code to an online strength finder tool which will, in 30 minutes, inform you of your top 5 strengths. This is followed by what the author says is a PERSONALIZED report catered to your own self. This report tells you about your 5 strengths in detail and then provides ten actionable items (for each one) to help you capitalize on that strength and improve it.
The idea is that focusing on improving your strengths is more beneficial than worrying about your weaknesses.
This book is more of a reference book which lists the 30+ strengths (4 pages each) along with the action plan for each one. This is the reason why I haven't gone through it all (no need), but I've taken time to read the intros for each strength.
I have yet to read my personalized report, but I've gone through the 4 pages for each of my 5 strengths in the book and I feel like the assessment did a really good job in finding those strengths (well maybe except one).
4 stars so far. Maybe I'll read the report and give it a 5. Looks like it deserves it.

An interesting approach to personality testing and self-improvement. The concept is to identify your strengths and work on enhancing those instead of attempting to improve things where you are naturally weak.
I really appreciate how the book walks through all 34 dimensions, both providing an overview with examples as well as tips on how to interact with others who exhibit the dimension.
This book was assigned to our team as part of our yearly engagement reading for Gallup. I have to say that the assessment the strengths finder did on line was right on the money for my strengths and weaknesses.
I did this as professional development and I hate to admit how accurate it was. Plus, now I have a kickass answer for every "Tell me three words to describe yourself" interview question.
Assigned reading for a course. Book includes a code for the strengthsfinder assessment, which provides you with your top 5 signature strengths. Interesting concepts and descriptions.
Am revisiting this universe—took the test when it was Gallup Find Your Strengths. Have used the results about my talents in many ways. The most valuable insight to remember is that of developing your strengths rather than dwelling on your weaknesses—students can benefit greatly from knowing the ways that we are all counter-balanced. I used the concepts here to tell students that your strengths bring you along in other areas because you are using everything you have to shine.
I last read this about 10+ years ago when I did this exercise for both work and in therapy. I encouraged my work team to engage in this for 2023, and won the effort! My work group is working through the exercise this month, and we'll share over the course of the year to get to know each other more.
That said, my own exercise proves that our strengths are not static, they evolve and are shaped with time and experience. I agreed with my assessment 10+ years ago, I agree with it now, and only 2 of the 5 main strengths are still shared.
I love this book for anyone dealing with self-confidence issues. This focuses on what you're awesome at, and help you identify these zones in yourself.

This book is a sort of primer/guidebook to go along with the Strengths Finder Gallup test online. There is a simple preface expressing the test's thesis that building on your strengths is a more constructive way to approach personal growth rather than focusing on your weaknesses. The rest of the book is short, bullet-pointed profiles of the 34 strengths.
Given its extremely brief nature, the only reason to buy the book is for the included one-time-only use access code for the test. Unfortunately, most of the information the book reveals about the strengths is just a regurgitation of the free articles offered online after you complete the test. Everything else is behind a paywall.
I'm not going to say "this is a scam," but I'm not NOT going to say it either. The test itself is interesting, but for $34 dollars, I really expect a lot more than essentially what you can get in more depth and for free from a number of online MBTI or Enneagram tests.
