Strengths Finder 2.0

I read this as part of a team-building exercise at Borders to understand where coworker's aptitudes lie. Interesting, quick read, although I like Myers-Briggs Type Indicator more.

I have to say I found the test to be very accurate and interesting!

You’re paying for the book in order to get the really expensive test. The book is more of a reference

if your looking for clarity for your future direction, this could be the book for you. It helped me align my goals; to pursue only those that can develop me with little speed bumps. You have to take the assessment.

Used this book for class and while there's not much to actually read, the assessment is kind of interesting.

While I thought it had some good information, I don't like it when we try to pigeon hole people.

An interesting self-assessment with some nice resources for self-reflection and personal growth.

Was assigned this book and the corresponding strengths test for work and was pleasantly surprised at the results. The test was odd - questions were for work and personal life, there is an answer timer so you have to decide quickly, and it's a paired answer quiz where you lean more towards one side or the other. It was a little unsettling. But then I got the results and they were spot on. The in-depth descriptions in the book of my key strengths rang true, and had great tips for maximizing my strengths.

Like the insight this book provides into myself. Good description of talents, but the book is light other than that.

This book is a little bit of a cheat-sheet on yourself. I was not completely surprised with my top 5 themes, most I would have chosen for myself, however there was one that shocked me as being more dominant than another. And although I just confirmed that I already knew myself rather well I found the book very useful for strategies in applying these talents at work and the kind of people I should look to work with to be more productive. While I'm still not sure what career I want out of life, this has helped me look at areas I would most likely be comfortable and stimulated in.
