Wanted to give it four stars for the suspense and twist factor, but wanted to give it two stars for how absolutely idiotic Amy was at times. So, I'll give it three. Overall it was very entertaining! #TeamIan!

Loved it

Seeing as there are many rave reviews I won't go into a ton of details... but Ill say I devoured this book. I chose it as my kindlefirst pick at some point and added it to my cue, I don't know why I didn't read it sooner.. I read 1/3 of the book in one sitting and the rest in another. It's fast paced, and makes you want to know what's next. I wasn't aware it was the first book in a series until the end, so now I'm anxiously awaiting for the second book Everything We Left Behind to be released in 2017.

Great plot, cheesy prose

There's some great plot points I. This, the storyline is solid, but there's some incredibly tacky descriptors at the beginning of the book. Get past those and you'll be fine.

I have mixed feelings about this book. First half was good, there is the suspense of trying to figure out what is going on......second half was quite frustrating for me. The main character made weird choices. I am still trying to decide if I liked the ending or not?????

Spoiler It seems like the author wrote this book never having known what it's like to love someone for most of your life or never having lost a spouse in death. The story started out well enough, but the characters and their actions just don't make sense half the time. A well traveled artist falls unconditionally for a small town cafe owner? Aimee refuses to move on romantically yet has the drive to start her business as an omage to James? That should've given her enough closure regardless whether she felt he was still alive or not. Alive or dead, James was gone and if he were alive, that should have left her angry. The whole amnesia thing was eye roll worthy. And the epilogue at the end made me super angry. It just wasn't necessary. His poor children. Aimee was so selfish too. I gave it 2 instead of 1 star because the author was able to peek my interest and wrote rather well regardless.

Based on the description, this book had so much potential. I expected a "Gone Girl" and I was sorely disappointed.

Really more like 2.5 starts. This book was not what I thought it was. I thought it would be about getting over loss and finding love again, getting your life back after it had been upended. But this is a poorly written half baked mystery. Aimee, thinking her fiancé was dead but unable to let go of the idea he’s alive, finally starts getting on with her life only to find out he is alive. Her life upended once again, but he has responsibilities in his new life and she’s happy in hers so they all just move on. So dumb.

Couldn't put it down

I'm a sap when it comes to love stories. I couldn't put it down! Good story line with a good balance of drama and love.
