Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this too much. The weird punctuation made reading it kind of hard and I didn’t love any of the characters or find them particularly interesting. However, this being a very early and unfinished work of Austen’s, it was interesting to see the seeds of later characters and plotlines beginning to take shape in this book.

Jane austen's unfinished work is still far better than half of the books we have today

First let me tell you that this is an unfinished worked by Jane Austen, it was published until her nephew published it in her biography in 1871.

We follow the man character Emma who has been living with a rich aunt until she get married for the second time, so she goes back to her father.

Here she encounters what many Austen heroines do, the mission to find a husband. Let's remember that that was the only option for women back in that time.

I think its a great story from Austen, to bad it isn't finished, because she really shined in the siblings storytelling.

If you have an itch for Jane you just can't scratch and you have read everything else, this is a one one to pick up.

This has the classic Jane Austen beginnings and you can just imagine the story she would have laid out for us. It is very sad to not be able to have her complete it but it was nice to have the knowledge of how she would end it.
