Sabía que después del primer libro tenía mucha expectativa acerca de lo que iba a ser esta segunda entrega y no pude pedir algo mejor.
De verdad que la química entre Jackson y Jamie era de otro planeta, la manera en como se conocieron y fueron enamorándose fue tan linda y divertida, de verdad que la manera en la que se complementaban y se preocupaban por el otro fue adorable.
Sentí que en especial Jackson tuvo un gran character development tomando en cuenta su pasado y como Jamie lo ayudó con todo.
Es un libro que es fácil de leer y muy ligero.

As smutty romances go, this one was pretty good. Parsi is actually very funny and smart and that was SO unexpected. Unfortunately, tropes are gonna cliche (or however the saying goes) and every time the FMC said something about "clenching around nothing" or someone "quirking a brow" I CRINGED. I had higher expectations for the writing but at the end of the day, this is 3.5 chili peppers and 3 stars.
Anyway this is on Kindle Unlimited and I 100% started a new trial membership just to read it.

It started off interesting but it goes 0 to 100 too quick for me. They didn’t like each other then all a sudden they’re all over each other. There was no in between.
It was a fast, easy read. I won’t lie the spicy scenes ruined it for me; they dragged and made the characters seem very shallowbecause how do they barely know each other and sleeping together everyday?

4 stars ⭐️ this was terrible dont read it if you’re going for intellectual literary fiction. 4 stars bc this was absolutely everything i wanted in a brainrot easy read like if this was a netflix or hallmark movie, it’d give like adult kissing booth vibe, like bad but u cant stop? I hate the cat but thats just bc i hate cats but ugh wow this was just fun but these COVERS. Jail to everyone and also very deceiving like this is most DEFINITELY an ADULT book. I hope everyone retires these fucking cartoon covers by next year. But yeaaah ate this shit UPPP and will read the other one so everyone mind ur BUSINESS.

The best part for me was when I thought the plot would go a certain direction, and being surprised by the turn of events. Formulaic is not opposed to creative and original. This was fun.
I loved that the hero had real competition. Daniel the sushi chef could have had a good romantic relationship with Jamie. I would have liked to see more of that.

Amé este libro como amé al primero. La verdad es que la autora tiene una forma de escribir que te atrapa y no te suelta hasta terminar la historia. La pasé tan bien (y tan mal) leyendo este libro. Es increíble la cantidad de veces que sonreí mientras leía.
Al principio no estaba muy convencida con los personajes, en especial con Jackson, que no me caía del todo bien. PERO ESO CAMBIO DE UN CAPITULO PARA OTRO. Por dios, la química que tienen estos dos. Jamie y Jackson son almas gemelas, literalmente. No encuentro otras palabras para describir la profundidad de su vínculo. Amé que se vaya desarrollando de a poco, que vayan descubriendo facetas de cada uno y vayan cayendo cada vez más el uno por el otro. No hizo falta el POV de Jackson para saber que era lo que pensaba, lo que sentía y todos los miedos que eso le provocaba.

En el primer libro, dije que me faltaba un poco más de angst. Bueno, acá fue perfecto. Lo que me hicieron sufrir estos dos. Increíble. Podia sentir lo mucho que se amaban, pero como luchaban en contra de eso. Me daban ganas de entrar al libro y sacudirlos (más a Jackson) para que entraran en razón, aunque, obviamente, entendía las razones detrás de sus dudas y de sus miedos.
“How can you stand it?” His voice was raw, anguished. “How is it fair that you’re only halfway there, but I can’t fucking breathe anymore, Jamie?”
Creo que todxs los que leímos esta serie estamos de acuerdo que Toebeans es el rey de estas historias. Moría de ternura cada vez que aparecía. Amé lo que hizo Jackson para poder ganarse su confianza. Fue demasiado dulce.
Fue un muy buen libro. Esta serie es ideal para pasar un buen rato, sonreír, morir de amor y ternura, y tal vez, sí, sufrir un poco.
