Man, I loved this book.

When I first learned that there was going to be a continuation of the Best Man in book format, I was instantly ready to read it. The movies and series have been some of my favorites, so seeing where the story could go was exciting.

For the book, we are a few years out from the end of the series, and Harper is already in some drama in the beginning. I love how he has grown as a person which is shown throughout the book.

Not to give spoilers away, but I loved the Harper and Jordan stories, and love that Malcolm and Jayne chose to really center this book around the love triangle that is Harper x Jordan x Robyn. There was a cliffhanger at the end of the book and I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS NEXT. If you loved the movies/show you will love this. If you didn’t watch those truthfully though, I think you will still like this book just may not have all of the context with the characters.

Harper, Jordan and Robyn stressed me out in this book as much as they did on screen, lol. I enjoyed this book though — it brought their continued mess to the pages.

I enjoyed the deeper dive into these characters and into their minds/pov. Harper is still Harper. Robyn is in Accra readjusting the post divorced life, finding herself and co-parenting Mia with Harper across continents. Jordan is still about her business. — the same ole love triangle… but that cliff hanger at the end.

Loved the cameo from our old friends Murch, Lance, Quentin, Candace and Shelby. Ready for  more.
