Was quite interesting in some parts, however it is weaker than book 1 and book 2. There was some interesting stuff but a lot of the drama between an certain sorcerer and a harlot brought down my opinion of the book a lot.
It felt like the author just wanted to write drama to be honest. Other than that there are some scenes I like a lot.

Incredible finish to the first subseries of the Second Apocalypse. This is intelligent, thought provoking, epic fantasy. No doubt some of the best the genre has to offer. Less action heavy apart from the fantastic finale, this book is more focused on the fascinating lore and characters of the world of Eärwa, which is where these books really shine imo. Just unforgettable stuff. Cnaiür urs Skiötha has to be one of the best characters in fantasy.

I could no longer stand the hate for women, the alpha male blustering together with the constant hammering you over the head with the feelings and pseudo philosophical ramblings. Also the Mary sue level of the main character got really on my nerves.

After all this slogging through moronic character names, endless death and characters who deserved numerous kicks in the skull, we receive the jumping off point for another trilogy?
This is the conclusion? I want to spit like the one character whose spitting starts to define him..
Puuuu-leaase. Sorry, my character Amando just grabbed the review away from me. But he is correct.
I am only giving this book two stars because certain aspects were quite fascinating. But everything else dragged the fascinating parts into the depths. 50 paged of fascinating out of 300 isn't a great ratio.
Again, puuuu-leaase. And *spit*.
