This is a cute romance novel. Marriage of convenience is one of my favorite tropes so I was destined to enjoy this.

It was okay, but I was not super engaged with the story. Miscommunication trope and weird scenarios that didn’t super pull me into the story.

Good but i found it kinda lagging at times.

3.5 stars. I liked it, but didn't love it, and I think I know why. Mainly it was because the couple was so mismatched, and when I say that, I don't mean they didn't have anything in common. They had quite a lot in common, but the main thing they had in common was Calvin. We hear nothing but Holland's point of view in this story, so we get to hear aaaaallllll about Holland's lustful feelings towards Calvin, but for the life of me, I can't see what Calvin saw in Holland. When Holland described herself and her life, she seemed rather boring. While Calvin was this amazing musical prodigy, with a ridiculous (and I mean that in a good, jealous way) Irish accent, a sophisticated sense of style, beautiful body, etc. etc. Holland had only one (not very nice) friend, an apartment her uncles were paying for, and a job given to her by said uncles. When Holland was getting all down on herself for not really achieving anything in her life yet, I was right there with her, nodding my head in agreement. It's been a while since I finished this, so maybe I'm being a little hard on the poor girl, but yeah...mismatched. He's all that and a bag of chips, she's not. How are you going to make that work? And in the end, with how it was all resolved, I still wasn't buying it. Ah well, I wish them all the best, but I won't be surprised if this marriage of convenience ends poorly.
