I have listened to several David Sedaris audio books, and also a number of his Radio 4 series.
This was my first time reading one of his books, and it took me a little while to get into it. Not because it isn’t great, but just because I’ve spent so much time listening that I wasn’t quite tuned in to reading him.
Ultimately I really enjoyed this, but the voice in my head will never be as good as his delivery.

Even when I find a book hilarious, I rarely laugh out loud. This book made me laugh out loud. Read it.
I really want to like David Sedaris but this is the second book of his I’ve read & I just think maybe his writing isn’t for me? To be fair, I’m not a big fan of essay style books in general.
