Hilarious! Especially when his sister Amy is mentioned.

When David Sedaris hits my funny bone, he really really GETS it. When he misses... Whoosh!

I would give about half his stories five stars, and half about 2, so I decided to go with a happy medium of three. I can't really figure out why he is so hit-and-miss. He's a good writer. I think it's just me, actually. It's probably just me. I did have a few moments of exploding into uncontrollable laughter while on a bus, which is always fun ;-)

This is my second read. This time on audio book.

My intro to David Sedaris was when a friend left it behind at my apartment. A gift my friend felt I’d like. It took me a while to read it. I have strange emotional reactions to things like that... I waited because I didn’t want to be disappointed.

I wasn’t.

I lived in Seoul, it was my first year in the country and I was cry laughing out loud on the subway.

Of course this did nothing to endear me to the locals but I can never dissociate Me Talk Pretty One Day with my first year in my favorite place. 서울

What, you haven't read this?
