This book was great and short and easy to read! I thought some of the language slowed the story down a little, and the beginning felt a little slow, but I liked how it began and ended a lot because it kinda wrapped it up nicely.

Pretty meh. The standard YA fantasy story, though it is mostly entertaining. Far better than Divergent, around on par with The Hunger Games.

The world is fairly interesting, and I'm curious to see how the rest of the series plays out.
