One Night Stand
Enemies to Lovers
Playboy Billionaire
Beloved Social Media Influencer

Jovana & Grayson are dynamite & pure fire. The push & pull, back & forth, fire & ice, fight & flight, back & forth was amazing. These two outwardly appear to be COMPLETE opposites - social economic status, relationship outlook, etc; but they connect on a more molecular level that took a lot of time to unearth.

Grayson is anti love, anti relationship, and super pro "bone" oh. His goal is pleasure, not promises. He is a billionaire & kind of a playboy, which doesn't bode well when you are the founder of a dating app.

Jovana is much more traditional; she wants to swoony gestures & to have her feet swept. She lives paycheck to paycheck and works numerous jobs to acquire those checks.

These two have a glorious night of passion together. Jovana thought there could be more, of which Grayson so rudely diminished. He goes off & gets some bad press and is told in order to turn his image & he companies bottom line around, he has to get married and it has to appear that they met on the app. The business owners & PR team grab drinks to discuss this further at the bar that Jovana works at, the chemistry between G&J being super strong - so the PR manager clearly decides that Jovana is the right woman for the job.
Then the fake fating, fake engagement, & ultimately fake wedding was planned.

My favorite part about this story was that Jovana took absolutely no bullshit. She gave as well as she took. She teased as well as she was teased. She literally put him under her shoe. She knew she had the power. It was HIS reputation & HIS company that would benefit from this. She has no actual stakes except some financial freedom, but in the end, she would be piecing her image back together.

I enjoyed watching Grayson fight his feelings and think he was in control. I loved watching this hard as Ice man, melt, and mold to Jovanas every whim.

The ending about who wrote the incriminating article actually surprised me. I did NOT see that coming, so that truly entertained me. I loved it so much.

Go friggin read this.

Firstly, I want to say a huge massive thank you to Valentine PR & Marni Mann for the ARC copy of Mr. Wicked 🖤

Marni’s books are always a good time, always binge worthy, and always have me giddy as all get out. Jovana was the sweetest little firecracker and by the end of the book I was rooting for her and Grayson.

Grayson is a total playboy and after having a one night stand with Jovana that ended badly a huge media scandal hits which leads Grayson into needing to marry fast to save his company. Enter scene with Jovana again and you get the picture.

I loved the characters banter with each other, Marni truly knows how to keep readers thoroughly entertained throughout her books. We love a reformed playboy who doesn’t understand love except when it comes to his woman.

Tropes:
Age gap
Fake marriage
Grumpy x sunshine
Billionaire
Forced Proximity

This was my first book by Marni Mann and wow, I am an instant fan.  I freaked loved Mr. Wicked!  I mean I was hooked just by the dedication, plus it’s set in my hometown of Boston, so how much better can you get?!

Grayson is a billionaire who started a super successful dating app but doesn’t want a relationship.  He has a one night stand that becomes a PR nightmare and chaos ensues.  Enter the fake dating situation his PR team comes up with to help his image.  Who does he enter this “relationship” with?  Jovana, the gorgeous server with whom he had the infamous one night stand.

Faked dating and forced proximity are my all time favorite tropes so I was all in for this one.  Add in the spice, which hit early on in this book and this is a 5 star read for me.

Thank you to  Marni Mann and Valentine PR for the ARC of this book.

I wanted to like this book but honestly, I wish I had DNF’d it.

I couldn’t relate to the characters at all and the FMC drove me absolutely bonkers. The plot had so much promise but I think it was missing higher stakes. Usually the fun part of the reformed playboy trope is that she believes he’s like that and doesn’t want to risk herself with him. This typically puts the MMC in a position to really prove himself. Instead here, we know from the first couple of chapters she doesn’t buy it. So what’s the point of even using the trope?

It just wasn’t my vibe. The writing was solid and the spice was good but I didn’t enjoy the characters or the half done tropes.

Grayson Tanner might be one of the founders of the hit sensation dating app Hooked, but Grayson does not do relationships + he doesn’t use his app for hookups . So when he catches the eye of the drop dead gorgeous waitress Jovana, he doesn’t think twice about having a one night stand with her because he knows he will never see her again . That is until a scandal breaks + his PR team gives him only one option .. get married to prove you have settled down + it’s just rumors . Luckily he knows a cute waitress, that also happens to be a social media star, that will make for the perfect wife + image clean up . Will the relationship end when their one year contract is up or will they decide the feelings have been real all along ?

I love this series from Marni ! They are such fun, quick, insta-love reads that always leave me with a smile on my face . Grayson + Jovana have such great banter between them which is always my favorite with fake dating/fake marriage ! The ending did feel a little rushed but I’m still excited to see where book 3 and the rest of the series has in store for us .

This is book two in the Hooked series + it can be read as a complete stand alone .

This book was given to me for honest review by Valentine PR + Literary Management .
