5 swoony fantastic stars.

What an amazing first dive into Romantic Suspense for Kathryn Nolan!! Delilah is a seasoned pro at investigating while this is Henry's first case. They are undercover as a married couple while searching for a rare book that has gone missing. Being fake married should be hard, right? Maybe for certain people. But not Henry and Delilah! Their chemistry is amazing from the beginning. The slow burn leading up to classic Kathryn Nolan sex is nothing short of phenomenal. I'm not typically a slow burn lover but this book... seriously this book. The slow burn was just enough to keep me wanting more. More Henry and Delilah. More Abe. More Freya!! Please more Freya! I find myself counting down the days until Kathryn releases her next book.... always. She has never disappointed me and definitely didn't again.

Ms Nolan delights with another romance couple with off the charts chemistry! If you love an intelligent, romantic, and sexually dominant hero, Henry Finch is your man. Delilah Barrett is a kickass heroine who can save herself AND Henry. Delilah has to train Henry on his first field assignment for Codex, the private investigation company she works for. Henry’s experience as a rare book librarian helps this former police detective in their search for a rare and valuable stolen book. Henry and Delilah learn to forgive their past mistakes, learn to trust again, and find that going undercover as a passionately in love married couple isn’t a hard sell.

I liked a lot in this book. I don't really know what happened. When I got to work the next day and tried to tell people about it, I couldn't even remember the title. I suppose that's quite telling.

Wasn’t crazy about Delilah. The story dragged in areas. Also, they talked about being spies and faking marriage in the middle of crowded rooms during their missions. For a “seasoned badass”, Delilah sure was dumb. Henry was ok. Just meh.

A smart and enchanting book

This book brings all the feels. I loved the descriptions of the building of a romance and the storyline was enchanting. I can't wait to read more from this series

What's not to love? The MMC is a Librarian, the FMC is a special agent. They team up (and pretend that they're married!) In an attempt to catch the bad guys and recover the stolen items.

The initial reason they had to pretend they were married was slightly awkward, but beyond that, it added super nice tension to the story.

My bestie loves Kathryn Nolan so I had to check this out. This book felt half mystery and half romance, and I'm a FULL ON ROMANCE kinda gal so I didn't fall madly in love with this book. I will be trying another, though!
