More guts than I would ever have. John Wayne Gacy is a pig, some of that was way over the top. I would have had nightmares for life.

Wouldn't recommend only because while I believe the author was in correspondence with true real-life serial killers, there is no verifiable proof of such letters/correspondence.

Quick read. Jarring. Disturbing.

Scarred for life...

A super-fast and interesting read. Like other reviewers have said, it reads similar to a YA novel with short chapters and the last sentence always leaving you wanting to know more.

The author definitely had some balls to correspond with the major serial killers out there. His relationship with Gacy was highly disturbing. What made me more curious was his relationship with his parents since he takes quite a few jabs at them. Unfortunately, we'll never know that because the author apparently committed suicide a few years after this book was published, on June 6, 2006 (666). I think I'm even more intrigued by this book now because the epilogue mentions the killers he corresponded with knew people on the outside who would gladly handle their dirty work, and the author left no suicide note.
