The potential issue of a book with many different narrators is it runs the risk of….me getting bored. Some of the stories were riveting and I devoured, others—I couldn’t wait for them to end. It IS a war book, so it’s to be expected to have a lot of military blabbing, but it just isn’t subject matter that really interests me. Overall though fun Zombie apocalypse book.

Good book, but I got tired of the format of storytelling after a while. Some of the stories were really great, but some of them were all right in my opinion. Overall a really good look at what a war with zombies would be like. I especially started enjoying the book once the war went on the offense. I got a little tired of everyone's escaping/dealing with zombies stories.

So much more than a zombie book. This is a meditation on how humanity would react to a global chaos that dismantles society as we know it. Hit very hard reading this after the 2020 pandemic
