This volume for some fucking reason was trash. The whole entire time I was extremely bored and it was not climactic whats so ever. It just felt like I was reading a script that a robot made because the dialogue was so dull and tbh quite predictable which was shocking since the previous volume was like WOAH. I dont know if i should get the next one or not but ya this was ewww
Still plenty of intrigue and intelligence here, but the book gets bogged down in a sidestory against a group of businesses men using Light's Death Note for corporate gain. It's an alright idea, but after an entire volume of no Light vs L, it drags.
And the sexism is just as rampant here as it is in all the other issues. Misa is a babbling idiot who refers to herself in the third person, and only ever displays a degree of intelligence when the author needs her to move the plot along. All the other times, she's a lovestruck bimbo obsessed with helping Light out for no apparent reason.
I'm actually really starting to get sick of the sexism. Before, I could tolerate it. Now, it's starting to grate.

I wondered how this series will continue for the next books considering I already knew who the good guys or bad guys were. Looks like the joke was on me. It was such fun to see Light and L work together in the third vol! Cant wait to read the next ones :)

Out of all the volumes I've read so far I think volumes 5 and 6 are by far the worst. BUT that does NOT mean they're bad. It's just the previous issues had more exciting content where these two volumes had more talking (which was essential to the development of the plot and the characters).
The ending of volume 6 though was a really good cliff-hanger and the climatic scenes were very well done!
Plus I really miss Ryuk!
