Ending was the best part. Kind of long and unnecessary plot setting in the beginning.

I’d give this a 3.5 stars. It was fast paced, kept your interest, and was a good thriller. This is the second book I’ve read by this author. I always feel as though I can figure out the ending before it gets to it, which disappoints me most of the time.
This book had a lot of twists, a good plot but it had a lot of stuff going on at the beginning. Multiple characters that didn’t really have a purpose in my opinion.
I could see someone just getting into thrillers enjoying this book. I’d still recommend it, it was a good and easy read for sure

i literally could not finish this book. it was not intriguing at all, it drug on, i normally don't just stop reading a book but this one just was not good. the typical wife cant remember what happens and just keeps going on in that aspect. wife goes missing and she doesnt remember how or what happened.

4th book by Shari Lapena and it’s not my favorite… Not bad in any way but not exciting and borderline predictable. Some twists were good and led to something promising but not as tense as I’m used to with the author.
Listened to this on Audio. Good narration. It was hard for me to get into this. I heard about this author on a pod. 75% through the book I just wanted to know who did it. I was always thinking is it Karen, her husband Tom or her friend Bridget. It was a bit predictable.
It was a Meh listen mystery.

This one was definitely a page turner. There were parts that were predictable, but you just had to turn the page to satisfy that itch of watching the plot unfold into its inevitable conclusion.
A wife in a car accident, loses her memory. A man is found dead in a restaurant nearby. Her husband is unaware of what truths will unfold.
I usually am not a fan of the amnesia plot line, but in this case it is done in a much more realistic manner than it usually is (this could also be that I found out my friend had had amnesia after a bike accident and she has told me what it's really like). The rest of the story is unbelievable, yet, you really can't look away. It's meant to keep you guessing, I didn't guess, I knew, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless.
