I really like the story. This series gets better as it goes on. The narration wasn’t great, it was very choppy and distracting. I love the food truck addition to the ice cream shop. There was less overall drama and it was more focused on the murder. I didn’t see the whodunit coming.

I thought I was reading the 2nd installment of the Ice Cream Parlor Mysteries, but I just realized this is the 3rd! No worries as I will still read the 2nd one as well.

A Killer Sundae centers around a newscaster that dies shortly after eating sundae from Crewse Creamery. Even though Wyn does not want to get involved in trying to solve the mystery of how she died, she can't help but put her nose in things especially to clear her family's name after she ate one of their sundaes.

This has very likeable characters and I love being a bit familiar with the area that she writes about.

Another great installment in this cozy mystery series.
I loved being back in Chargin Falls Ohio and with Browyn and her friends.
The who done it kept me guessing till the end. Seriously, the reveal didn't happen until the last 5 or 6 pages!
I hope Abby Collette writes another book in this series soon!

This story was so watery to me. The friendships are not truly believable and I find the pacing confusingly drawn out until the last 20 pages when everything just tumbles forward. It's like trying to get the ice out of the bottom of a cup and finally it falls all over your face with a barley reasonable amount actually landing in your mouth.

On the plus side, it was a decent palate cleanser after an intense non-fiction read.

Cozy & Entertaining

I didn’t realize it was a third installment of a series but it can be read as a stand alone. I enjoyed the book. However the ending felt somewhat rushed.

Also, in my opinion, the conversations between Win, Riya & Maisie seemed high school-ish. It was giving don’t exclude me or my feelings will be hurt for the most mundane reasons.

The author reveals the killer early on with the clues that were given. It was a good read nonetheless.

I had a fun time reading this book. It probably wasn’t the best cozy mystery I’ve ever read, but it was enjoyable nonetheless.

Ok,I love this series. Did I guess who the murderer was by chapter 3? Yes. Do I care? Nope. I read cozies for the relaxing vibes.I love Win and her family, I love an ice cream cozy mystery, and I like this author’s writing style. I also like that this book has left it open for an interesting plot in the next installment. I hope a new book in this series comes out soon.
