“You’re our dark angel, Bernadette. At the same time, that means they’d all die to protect you. We all would." —Victor

Mixed feelings about Chaos at Prescott High. It’s not bad, but also not that good. Honestly, it didn’t entertain me enough, and I don’t feel like picking up the next book.
The pacing was fine, there are a lot of problems, but the author adds filler scenes with Bernadette and the Havoc boys, which I actually enjoyed.
The downside? Way too many annoying characters. Plus, the heroine and the Havoc boys didn’t feel strong enough. I wanted them to be way more badass and untouchable.
What I did enjoy were the POVs from the Havoc members. It was nice seeing how they really felt about Bernadette, their obsession with keeping her happy and away from the darkness in their lives, while still refusing to let her go.
The way Vic, Aaron, Harley, Oscar, and Cal created and built HAVOC in the first place was actually to help Bernadette. They made themselves into a weapon she could use to escape the darkness of her life.
Overall, it was an okay read, but not enough to keep me hooked on the series or make me want to recommend it. No regrets, though.

♡ my fav quotes:
these boys are my family. My gang, if you will. We were here first, but our prologue was Bernadette. Apparently, she’s desperate enough to become our epilogue, too. Just … hopefully not our epitaph. —Victor

“After I saw what you'd become, I knew, Iknew we belonged together" —Victor

“We might live in the dark, but that doesn't mean we're not allowed to enjoy the moonlight.” —Aaron

We do have history with Bernie. Since elementary school, we’ve tried to look out for her. Shit, we made a pact when we were thirteen to watch from afar but keep romance out of it.
They all wanted her then; they still do, but in a different way. —Aaron

"Are you stupid or something? I’ve been lusting after Havoc for years, watching you guys for even longer. I’m not going anywhere, not even if you’d truly deserve to see me flee.” —Bernadette

“This is where I belong, Vic. I’ve always belonged with the five of you.” —Bernadette
────────────
“That much, I promise. We’re going to rule this city together, Bernadette. You and me, king and queen.” —Vic

These are my boys. Mine. I have to protect them. Even if I hate them a little bit. Even if they’re fucked-up and twisted and their spirits are darker than pitch. This is it for me, my endgame. —Bernadette .

“Because I don’t think you understand my motivations, Bernadette Blackbird. You’re incandescent; I’m just trying to keep your flame from being snuffed out. You glow from the inside out" —Oscar
────────────
“We became something for you, Bernadette. Havoc is a blade; wield it.” —Cal
────────────
Even in the face of hate, of pain, of ruin, Bernadette has never stopped watching us. Never stopped loving us. And we, we love her. —Cal

The thing is, I love Victor too much. He loves me too much. Havoc is too important to me. I could never give it up. —Bernadette

“I love you, Victor Channing,” I tell him, and he freezes. I swear, he even stops breathing. After a moment, Vic exhales and his tense muscles relax.

I don’t like the killing, but I still like the dynamic between HAVOC. I think Cal’s my favorite…or Oscar.

Worth the wait
Chaos was worth the wait! Ah I've loved the havoc boys since the first page of the first book! I'm stoked that there will be another 2 books after mayhem!

Series Review
1000% in love with this series. From the first book to the last. I was entranced. I loved the characters, the story, the spruce, the growth, the emotion. I loved it all. The author brilliantly wrote this world of HAVOC and I am so happy that I dove in to this series. I am sure I will read it again to experience it all over.

This book was a lot worse than the first one. Bernie made me so mad all the time. She has gone through a lot, and I get that. It is just she is so unlikable in my opinion. As well as the way Hael handled the whole baby situation pissed me off. Like he was not positive that the kid was not his. I don’t care if he does not like the mother, it still could had been his kid. I know it is a reverse harem, and normally I love these type of books. But, something about the way this book is written makes me dislike the whole concept of it. Overall 3 stars
