Loved this book! As a fan of Outlander, it was fun, and I did enjoy the blog aspect. Although I found the ending predictable, I really didn't mind, because I was glad Emma got a happy ending; I felt she deserved it. I loved the author's descriptions of the places and experiences.in Scotland. It made me want to visit!

This book was the Bridget Jones' diary of this decade!! Where she had Austen, we have Gabaldon! It was just such a great book... Chick lit, which I haven't been a fan of since BJD! Very refreshing and the best ending! Not just where she ended or who she ended up with but who she became! I need to take a trip to do some soul searching... Maybe it's a trip to the stones!

Cute, though very predictable, story of a 29 year old woman who is a huge fan of Outlander (the books; she doesn't watch the show) and goes on an adventure to Scotland to find her own Jamie. If you aren't an Outlander fan, the book would be okay but it's more enjoyable understanding all the references to the Outlander universe.

I would give this book closer to 3.5 stars, if I could, since for me the star rating system indicates how urgently I needed to get back to the characters and the story day-to-day. I enjoyed the characters and appreciated reading the work of another Outlander fan. There were nights that I was up way past my bedtime to read and, for me, that is a mark of whether or not I would recommend a book.

Really easy read. Fun story since I think we’re all looking for Jamie Fraser qualities in a man. Read in a day

This book is about Emma, a 29-year-old who is obsessed with Outlander (the book) and goes on a quest to Scotland to find her own Jamie Fraser (the main male character in the Outlander Series).
This book started out good and I definitely liked the travel blog aspect of the story, but it was hard to for me to remember that Emma was 29. A lot of the times in the book she acted like a boy-crazy teenager especially since "he was everything I was looking for in my Jamie - tall, strong, and handsome." If she was really a fan of Outlander she would know that those are not the traits that make Jamie such a great character.
There were times that things felt too coincidental, for example, everyone she meets is an Outlander fan. Some names were thrown in there that I guess were supposed to make Outlander fans happy (like a gay guy with connections to the last name Grey, or a shady woman named Gail Lee Duncan) but to me, it kind of distracted from the story.

This was a cute book about a modern woman looking for her own modern Jamie Fraser.

This book was a VERY easy and fun read. I wouldn't recommend it to non-readers of the Outlander book series or television series as you wouldn't understand the inside jokes.
After reading many heavy books lately, this was just what I needed.

The cover blurb from Diana Gabaldon led to high hopes for this spinoff. But no, no, no, no.
A question that another writer might have done a lot with--What kind of modern guy would qualify as a Jamie? After all, it's unlikely one will find an ace cattle thief/broadswordsman/soldier/printer/vintner/farmer/frontiersman/horse groom browsing the aisles at Target--or even at your local Jacobite fan club Meetup. And then there's the whole question of whether he will love you enough to endure the various hardships of lashings, imprisonment, ocean voyages, witchcraft, sodomy, and encounters with spoiled heiresses, pirates, and savages.
I mean, in today's world, what would that kind of man and that kind of love even look like?
You will not find the answer in this book. I just can't go anywhere in my mind with a protagonist who would have anything to do with Dyer's Hamish.
Wanted to like it. Couldn't. I can only surmise that KC Dyer is a super nice person and DG wanted to be nice back.
