This was such a lovely book about being proud of your disability, rather than trying to fit in with the world around you.
While the story and writing were cringey at times, the over arching plot of discovering who you are made it an enjoyable read.
I felt like some aspects of the plot were a bit rushed, but I loved the conversation Lilah had with her parents at the end. It shows that sometimes people aren’t against things per se, they are just uneducated about how it would be beneficial. (In this case they weren’t against sinn in language, they just didn’t realise it meant so much to Lilah as a deaf person).

Loved ending the summer with a great summer camp story told through the eyes of members of the Deaf community.

Give Me A Sign was a charming coming of age story with great Deaf representation and a cute romance! I really loved the summer camp setting and the plot to save the camp! The characters were likeable but felt a little flat- all I knew about the characters was that they loved the camp. At times the plot felt predictable but overall I thought this was a cute read and that more books should have Deaf characters and representation.
The voice too young for me and didn’t move fast enough. Lots of characters.
