Fallen in Love

I don't know if it was this book or just the sudden urge to read but I read this book really quickly. Shelby and Miles' story was pretty cute, although I thought the end was a bit mushy. Roland's story was sad and had a bittersweet ending but I enjoyed reading his story. Arriane's story was quite sad and the most surprising, although I don't know why.
And then we come to Luce and Daniel...Honestly it was pretty good but I couldn't help but feel like it wasn't needed, despite it making all the other stories fit together. It was like reading the series and for some reason I felt like it through it off balance. All in all it was a quick and easy read and if you love the series then you'll enjoy this book.

I loved how Lauren flowed each short story into once.  Shelby and Miles when they ran into Roland, brought on his story and then Arianne came into Roland's story.  It was a great transition.
All and all it was a short, sweet read but not exciting.  It's a great Valentine's Day read, but don't think the short novellas are always happily ever after.  There's something to learn in each one.
I'm just happy to have read that Daniel and Luce finally got something pleasant out of the deal.
Now the countdown begins for "Rapture." Give me more Cam, and I'll be a happy, giddy Book Mama.  =)

This book is said to be 4 short stories about Valentines day regarding different characters from Lauren Kate's Fallen series.

I suppose you can say that is what it is. It really read more like a regular story with random breaks that tell you you are now onto a new characters Valentine's Day. I think that those breaks were put in there just so there was less awkwardness with switching to a new characters perspective. Really, this book flowed as if it was a missing chapter from the last book.

The only exception to this, I think is Arriane's Valentine's Day story. From Miles and Shelby to Randal, it flowed fairly well. But then from Randal to Arriane, it was kind of a bit awkward. And then, from there we ended up with Luce. Lauren Kate should have picked how she wanted it to flow from one story to the next and remained consistent.

And honestly, I really enjoy this series, but I cannot stand how Luce describes her feelings for Daniel... OVER AND OVER again. I get it. Stop making me want to narf.

And, yes despite there being no story for Cam, we still get a bit more insight into who he is, which makes me happy for I am Team Cam all the way!

When I read there was going to be a book about the love life of the other angels from the Fallen series I just had to read it. Although I loved the stories I was a little dissapointed that in every story they talked about Daniel and Luce. We already know they had a lot of past lifes, if you ask me we could have done without it in the stories.
The stories were fun to read because you get a glimpse in the life of the others, of course there was a story about Luce and Daniel and I have to admit that I read through that story a lot faster than the other ones.
Although I really loved the stories about the other angels they would even be more fun if they didn’t include Daniel and Luce everytime

Split into four different love stories, Fallen in Love was heartwarming and a fun addition to Lauren Kate's Fallen series.

Fallen in Love's first story, Love Where You Least Expect It: The Valentine of Shelby and Miles, was adorable. I loved seeing the lighter side to both Miles and Shelby, and their uncertainty about their growing feelings was extremely endearing. The way Shelby kept catching herself staring at Miles once his hat was lost, getting caught up in his clear blues eyes, had me stopping to catch my breath a couple times. Their nighttime picnic under a starry sky sealed the deal, and had me instantly swooning for their fledgling relationship.

I wasn't as big a fan of Fallen in Love's second story, Love Lessons: The Valentine of Roland. Maybe it's because I haven't read any of the Fallen books in a while, but I had a hard time remembering who Roland was. While I empathized with his torment over how things ended with his first - and only - love, I couldn't truly connect to him because I couldn't place him in Fallen's overall plot.

Fallen in Love's third story, Love: The Valentine of Arriane, started out quite promising. Learning about Arriane's sordid love affair with one of Lucifer's demons, a passion that spanned a millennia that neither time nor distance seemed able to weaken, was heartbreakingly beautiful. But their love story was tainted after Tess decided to present Arriane with an ultimatum - something someone truly in love would never force upon their loved one.

Fallen in Love's last story, The Valentine of Daniel and Lucinda, was one I could have done without. Luce's anxiousness permeated the pages, in her desire to uncover more clues about her past and what she needs to change in order to be with Daniel in the present. Even during a romantic moment together, Luce wasn't able to completely set aside her worries and just live for the moment.

I did love that all four stories happened during the same time period - medieval England - and that they were all connected in one way or another, eventually leading up to Daniel and Luce's Valentines Day. I also enjoyed that, while love was the focus, there was also a lot about friendship and the type of family bond that comes with shared experiences over time. It was also kind of romantic that, even though in this century Daniel and Luce are inevitably torn apart, if only for one night, their friends worked together to give them a moment of pure happiness. While I don't feel like Fallen in Love has added to the Fallen series, it was a quick and romantic read that fans of the rest of the series are sure to find enjoyable!

4 stars

Miles and Shelby: 4/5 stars

I really liked the story but it was not like...something to wow me, it was quick and funny.

Roland: 5/5 stars

Roland is my fave<3 I never expected him to have such a story. It was really painful and proved that he is not heartless

Arianne: 5/5 stars

Even more heartbreaking. OH MY GOD. Arianne's story was my favorite because it was so cute and sad and a million other things

Luce: 3/5 stars

This one wasn't the best. To be honest, I loved how cute it was but not much happened, it was all flowers and love. I wanted SOMETHING to happen!!

I am almost finished with Fallen too, the series is really good<3<3<3

I can't be bothered with the effort of writing a proper review for this book all I have to say is that I completely lost my motivation to read during this story. for a book so small it really did take me way too long to read. Finally I can say it's over and hopefully the next book I choose to read will give me back the readers flow.

Shelby y Miles son mi OTP ahora.
Arriane, Tess no te merece.
Roland,te amo.
Luce y Daniel, relationship goals

I like the idea of telling the 4 valentines' stories in the past and how beautiful was Daniel & Lucinda's one and only valentine's day.
But i think a story for Cam & Lilith would've added a spark to the book

I love how the author took four separate short stories surrounding Valentine's Day and not only worked them into one, cohesive story, but also as an in-between the books filler. I just wish Cam had gotten a story in this collection. I always go for the wrong boys, it seems, but I have to admit, he's my favorite.
