This was such a cute, fun read! (Just what I needed tbh)

Rose and Miles are neighbors on the 17th floor of their apartment complex. They despise each other because Miles thinks Rose is a hot, but extremely uptight female - and Rose thinks Miles is a hot, yet conceited jerk.

The banter during the ‘enemies’ period of the whole enemies to lovers ordeal is always my favorite and Rose and Miles did not disappoint on this end. It was honestly hilarious.

After Miles’ dad threatens to take away his inheritance unless he settles down and stops exposing his escapades in front of the media, Miles decides his bitchy neighbor would be a great choice for a fake fiancé. Not only is she hot, she’s also extremely boring and the complete opposite of the girls he usually goes for….

Rose is appalled when Miles offers her to be his fake fiancé, she obviously rejects him! except…. She is getting kicked out of her apartment and one million dollars for faking to be in love with an annoying neighbor doesn’t sound so bad.

Miles’ actions in the beginning had me seriously doubting him and not rooting for him at all. I think that was great and super necessary because we were able to really see the complete 180 degree change he makes over the course of his time with Rose.

The spice in this book was great, the banter was hilarious, the sexual tension?? amazing!! the elevator scenes (yes, plural) HOLY HELL.

all in all, this was your typical ‘fake dating then accidentally falling for the other’ book, but I’m a sucker for the trope, so I loved it!

i thought it was gonna be total sh*t but miles and roses love is so perfect and cute . like the way the genuinely love each other is heart warming

Ugh it was okay. Maybe more like a 3.5? Higher than the last book I read, but not a 4. The miscommunication at the end was frustrating, and why do so many epilogues end with a wedding/‘surprise I’m pregnant’ combo? Newlyweds who have scorching hot sex deserve to have peace before adding kids to the mix.

Elevators = Great Inventions

First from this author and I’m in love. This book was so witty, full of fun and ALL the steam! Hello?! Elevators…read it and thank me later. Miles was everything you want in a book boyfriend and Rose was quite the compliment to him. Definitely looking forward to reading more.

loved it

This was really great for what it is. I listened to the audible version which might have helped convey the right tone with Miles dialogue. The narrator in combination with the writing made the males character seem authentic and realistic. I know others mentioned in their reviews that it seemed juvenile and not all realistic but I found myself laughing out loud with some of the things Miles said.
The story was predictable but usually they are in this genre and sometimes it’s comforting to read a story that you already know how it will end.
I enjoyed the relationship between Rose and Miles and that elevator scene took me by surprise. In a good way.

10/10 would recommend if your looking for a light and fun book with humour and romance.
