Yea I just don't think this was for me. I found it kind of boring and the falling in love in a week thing is just not my vibe. If you want a surface level, cute and quick romcom tho, it works for that.

First thought: This book opened with the best meet cute and I was hooked from then on. The banter, the tension, the sass - throw that in with a destination wedding in London and formula one driver this is an instant yes! The hubs and I listen to this audio book together and we both enjoyed it. Fun read and plenty of lol moments.
Jane was hired to do a job, pretend to be a bridesmaid named Elle and pull off the most amazing wedding for her bride and launch her business to a new level. She didn’t anticipate the bride’s brother Henry getting in the way of doing her job. This is going to be a very interesting week of wedding activities in London and she needed to stay in character.
Henry was a famous formula 1 driver and he loves nothing more than his family, and his sister having the wedding of her dreams was his priority. The problem was he met a feisty American at the airport and she got under his skin, now she’s here at the wedding festivities why? Then his sister introduced her as Elle a Bridesmaid and close friend. He knew he needed to keep his distance cause there was something about her he was drawn to but he couldn’t cross that line.
Literally Themes you’ll find:
* Formula 1 Driver x Bridesmaid 4 Hire
* Secret Relationship
* Boss’s Brother - Forbidden
* Boy Obsessed
* Forced Proximity
* Great Banter
* Wedding in London
* Dual POV
* Spice

This one was alright. I like that people are finally writing about some of the lesser popular sports- like this one talking about Formula 1. I thought that the FMC in this one was determined and cute but I love how hard she fell for the MMC, too.

This was a cute audiobook! We start out with a run-in at the airport, which causes some tension on one end and attraction on the other. When our main characters meet again at his sister’s wedding and she’s a bridesmaid, the attraction builds, despite it being forbidden.
Insta-love is hit or miss for me and this was a partial hit lol I enjoyed the build up but the fact that they were tossing out the L-word after a week is where it went astray for me. But that could totally be your thing! I also do wish there would have been more racing scenes. We get one at the end but it’s mainly just referencing him BEING an F1 racer.
I did love the characters; they were each lovable for their own reasons. And the spice wasn’t too shabby 😋 I also loved the premise of our FMC being a bridesmaid for hire; that’s like my dream job!! At the end we get a scene where the FMC’s bestie gets her own lead into what I’m assuming is the next book in the series and I think that one is gonna be GOOD.

The timeline was way too fast (they fall in love in a week? and get married 4 months later??? and are having sex between the ceremony and reception??) though I do believe it a little more considering how into her he was from the beginning. also she doesn't seem to be so good at her job, all things considered.

It was a good story to pass the time. But the love was kinda unbelievable to me. The epilogue was kind of a whiplash. It went really fast. Not exactly my favorite part.
