The worst one of the trilogy. The main characters are equally toxic.
I want to say that I was finishing summer finals while reading this.
I like the main female character, she had a lot of spunk and grit to her. Then further into the book she became slightly mushy which made lessen her spunk but I understood why the author made that decision.
The main male character seemed very mysterious and I wish that his backstory was explained a bit more. It made his character feel a bit rush and unfinished. Plus, it did not give him the humfp for his demeanor that he needed for this book.
Overall the book is good and a nice three sitting read. It might take awhile to get through it but it is worth it.

A hilarious spin on Cinderella. Kimber is humiliated at the altar by her not so price charming, and the punches just keep coming in from that point on. Honestly there is so much bad that happens I was surprised that there was a happily ever after. I thought that the things happening were a part of some conspiracy and I wasn’t alone because Kimber was also leery of every emotion she felt as she fell hard for her ex-stepbrother, who may or may not be manipulating her for something.
The hero was an asshole at the start and never gives a very good explanation for why. There's no real resolution for his behavior (even when he becomes more likeable) and it kind of ruined the ending for me.

3/5 spicy romance of a hot Italian designer Matteo and Italian born, American raised, designer Kimber. Jenner is Kimber's BFF gay friend who everyone needs in their life. Matteo and Kimber's relationship is a bit tense with both of them being a little hot headed at the beginning. Overall I liked the story but enjoyed the previous book a bit more
Really good story. A little slow in places, but still very enjoyable. I love the spark and fire between Kimber and Matteo. It adds so much to their chemistry. A true enemies to lovers story.

The Slow Burn series is SO DAMN GOOD!!! While Melt for You is my fave of the lot, Ache for You comes in a close tie for second because Matteo is just perfectly imperfect. He's vain, passionate, intense, and funny, all od which mean he's amazing to read. While Kimber's story is heartbreaking, JT has this way of underscoring her trauma with humor, which makes this a quick and enjoyable read. So love this freaking series!
