SPOILERS AHEAD

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

I under stand why everyone is is upset that the characters are “acting childish” or like saying that they hope they don’t act like them at 40 and I do get it but I will over look ANY red flag in a book if i enjoyed it

(reread) im keeping the star off even though i definitely would make this a 5 star is because I hate a cheating trope. No no one cheated but he thought she did and it’s annoying. Well maybe he didn’t actually think she did and he was being a dick but still you get the point. The cheating trope is annoying and anyone who likes it should stub they’re pinky toe 2 times a day 7 days a week.

oof ally and dominic were so freaking cute. i enjoyed this book a lot!
this that i liked about this book: the characters, the dual pov and the banter and chemistry was chef's kiss, and i personally enjoyed the groveling.
things that i didn't like: a little too long, also felt that the characters didn't act accordingly to their age.

I don’t normally do work place romances but have heard amazing things about this book and the library had it when I went. I really enjoyed this book! The ending made me surprisingly emotional.

I really have mixed feelings about this book. It is written beautifully and the characters really come alive and there is an excellent plot. However, it is very morally grey in my option. Ally is fiercely independent, which is excellent, however, when Dominic becomes infatuated with her, she constantly is on the receiving end of his good deeds. I don’t think Dom is bad overall, but this feels manipulative nonetheless. Since it is written in dual perspective, Dom’s POV creeps me out even more with how obsessed he is. Sure, Ally mostly likes him back and certainly teases him, but the power dynamic Dom fights so hard to not be a part of… he kinda becomes a less creepy version of it. As someone who had to deal with sexual harassment in the workplace even after multiple “no”s, this is just too much for me to find romantic. 3.25⭐️, 4🌶, ⚠️
