I was buying it... and then came the last quarter of the book. I can't place my finger on why, but it felt rushed. Some descriptive phrases were repeated close together, almost as if the editing was hurried. It was a fun story, though, whether or not you believe aliens have visited Earth.

Ik vond de reeks met Nora Kelly steeds fijn uitgewerkt, ook nu is het eerste deel van het boek duidelijk goed voorbereid met veel background info maar het slot is echt te ver gezocht....really....

While I love their writing style, the plot was too hard to get through.
Spoiler I kept thinking it was going in the opposite direction, as everyone was so unflinchingly believing in aliens. But then it just was aliens. And the ending was so disappointing, that a rogue agency went completely undetected with no one knowing what was going on and the response was "oh well".
This might mark the end for me for this series with Nora Kelly.

As with the rest book of the series, it's predictable but enjoyable.

Another action-packed and fast-paced thriller with our feisty archeologist Nora Kelly this time digging for what could be evidence of aliens. Enter the government conspiracy, murder and the adventure is off. I am always sucked in right away and was surprised where this ended, not what I expected. Would love to see where they went from where we leave the adventure.

Nora and Corrie have another adventure in New Mexico. This time, Nora is digging near Roswell. Murder, spies, romance, and maybe aliens!

A solid 3.4*! I thought I was done with the series, however, reading Douglas Preston’s nonfiction book “the lost tomb” a few weeks ago inspired me to return. Essentially, Preston takes some real-life mystery and then throws some science and storytelling on it. Knowing this makes me enjoy this series more.

In this case we get the Roswell crash. A very Musk-like billionaire has gotten permission to excavate the crash site and has decided that Nora should investigate. She sees that there is a grave nearby and wants to ascertain that it’s not an old Indian burial. The bodies are strange - without faces or fingerprints- and the FBI with Corrie heading the investigation comes to site. It seems there is more than one mystery.

This was the usual fun blend of science, procedural and mystery. Totally over the top and just what I wanted from it.
