Entertaining thriller in the Langdon series centered around the questions 'where do we come from' and 'where are we going'. What makes it good is the pace of the storyline, the constant cliffhangers and the interesting real theories and technologies interwoven with the fictional story. What makes it three stars was that I found myself scanning or even skipping parts without consequences and the lack of depth of the characters. The ending however makes up for the sometimes lengthy explanations and sidesteps which weren't serving the plot.

You have to admit he’s good.

I have my issues with Mr. Brown, but damn he’s good. This is just a classic page-turner. The writing is... what it is.

But the story is incredibly fun, the moments of action very well-portrayed, and the science/mystery the most sophisticated Mr. Brown has yet attempted. Worth anybody’s time.
