The whole reason why the mc was at the home to begin with was unbelievable. If my parents gave me up at 8 and didn’t even send me a birthday card, I’d say “good on ya” and sell their beloved winery and house without thinking twice. Money in pocket. Life moving on.

This was the best horror books I’ve read in a long time. I’ve been going back and forth between giving it 5 stars or not. The entire story was so atmospheric and the imagery was so perfected that this entire book was a just a movie in my head.
Though there were small flaws in the story towards the end that didn’t flow as well for the ending as I would’ve hoped, I’ve still decided to give this book the full 5 stars.

I have mixed feelings.
I love Darcy, and every book of hers I've read has been fantastic. This one was different than the others I've read, in the fact that it went much slower in the beginning.
I loved the end and that Margot figured out what the issue was, but it makes me wonder how no one else figured it out in all that time?!
I also really loved where she saw her parents and her old dog.
