Siobhan is known for her emotional, tear-jerking, great plot twists books, Cruel Intentions is no exception. However, here are a few more emotions that popped up while I was reading; stunned, shocked, appalled, stomach-churning-but-couldn't-look-away-intensity and I had to keep reading because I was now addicted.
These were a new emotions for me. Reading this level of darkness and then the need to continue reading it was new. I can't say I'm normally a fan of dark romance, but Siobhan fed me this trope in a way that I had to keep reading it, I was an instant addict, much in the the same way Abigail felt in seeking vengeance to everyone in her life who had caused her pain, even though she continued to get abused.
"How is it I crave the thing I hate the most?' he whispers, his mouth moving to my jaw. "How do you do that? Make he want you when I despise you?"
Cruel Intentions ia a dark romance set in high school. There are a lot of adult themes; abuse, toxic relationships, blackmail, bullying...to just to name a few, but it's a story of old money vs. new money. One were the children are pitted against each other all based on rules set by their parents and their parents parents and so forth. Abigail is set right in the middle of a battle, she is a pawn and she constantly tries to change her position on the board to become queen.
Abigail is the prime example of how in this world, women have little to no power. Women are only as good as their family name, the state of their virginity, and should be seen and not heard. Abigail Manning hates the world she lives in, but puts of the facade while she has to live in it.
We meet Abby at a very low point in her life, along with her savior, who unbeknownst to her is also her worst nightmare.
"I'm drowning in Camden Marshall, both hating and loving it at the same time."
Cruel Intentions is a dark and twisted story filled with a circle of people that you don't know who to trust. This is Abby's everyday life; mistrust, deceit, vengeance. Welcome to Rydeville High.

I quickly read through Cruel Intentions in one night, staying up late into the night gripped by the storyline. Abigail and Cam's hate for each other and chemistry is off the charts. I was hooked from the first chapter and eagerly started the second book in the series as soon as I finished, wanting to see what happened after that cliffhanger. Cruel Intentions is a book I will reread, making this a 5 / 5 Stars read, in my opinion.

Okay just..whoa let me catch my breath here for a second because it has quite literally been stolen away from me with this book.
I have been obsessed with books in this genre lately and was freaking ECSTATIC when I was able to get my hands on an advanced copy. And then of course the author being Siobhan Davis, I knew I was going to be in for a wild ride.
As usual, the entire time I was reading I was shaking inside with lust AND frustration. Then shock and heart break and then a massive, DEAR-GOD-WHAT-JUST-HAPPENED!?!
No. Lie.
This book for me, and I know the rest of the series will be too, is seriously just a whole new avenue with academy and bullymance stories. It just FEELS different! Abby gives as much as she takes! I still remember thinking "Holy crap, did she just...yep..she did.." at a particular scene early on in the story.
Abby isn't the typical girl who gets pushed around and thinks, "Woe is me" to herself while she cries in her room. Naw. This girl is more the "I'm gonna eff their world up" mentality. Which I freaking LOVED!
I've been reading a LOT of RH lately so of course when I'm introduced to the "new" elites, my mind immediately went to "oooh..why choose?" but I don't think that this is an RH story, so I'll just allow myself to fantasize about that instead. Of course if this turns into an RH, woohoo!
The "new" elites are delicious, vicious and loyal and I seriously can't WAIT to get find out what happens next!
This book is SERIOUSLY something that will have you white knuckling your kindle/book, leaving you gasping for air and crying out in frustration and desperation for more!

*** MILD SPOILER ALERT***
I am in an amazing streak right now reading great bully romances so far and this bad boy right here is fast becoming my fave!
Oh my goodness! This book… I can’t even! There were a lot of twists and turns, betrayals, lies and deceits than your average soaps on TV! I am sooo digging this brand new series of Ms. Davis. I mean, all of those reasons I’ve mentioned are a great recipe for an interesting page turner story added with some a—hole characters that you will love to hate/ hate to love, nail biting suspense and murder plots, great story writing, I was on the edge of my seat all the time! Not to mention, my head and brain was in a whirl suspecting everyone. I mean it. Everyone have their own agenda while appearing to be working together. This story got me worked up and in a permanent tizzy.
Cruel Intentions could not be more aptly named than it was because like I’ve said earlier, EVERYONE has their own agenda to one up anyone. It is TWISTED. Everyone IS twisted and no one is innocent, even those you think is not capable of it.
The characters of this story are privileged, used to getting their own way, followed an archaic set of rules to which our feisty heroine, Abigail is trying to get out of. Most of these characters you can’t help but love, some you will hate, while the others will leave you asking for more. I know this will not be RH, but I was wondering (okay, wishing) it was. Why you ask? Well, Abigail seems to have a connection too with the other guys. Just her reactions to Jackson and Sawyer are undeniable, and I can feel that there is something with Charlie too (or maybe it was just me, GAH! I don’t know anymore!) I love Abigail and Camden’s chemistry, it was insane! It is a consuming need with its own brand of love-hate and I can’t breathe from the sexual tension. I know Xavier is what he is, but man, is he freaking sexy and sweet! I was kind of rooting for him and Abby to get together. It’s crazy I know, but I kind of fell for his snarky and yet sensitive soul plus his dorky ways and mad skills. Camden is an intense, possessive caveman but I still adore him. Jackson is an irreverent, incorrigible, flirty guy I will ever meet but hides a hurt so deep that I find myself wanting to love and comfort him. I admit, I’m a sucker for this kind of guy, ugh! Sawyer and Charlie are both an enigma that I would love to unravel. I really hope that I would get to know a bit more of them in the next book.
Let me be clear if it isn’t yet. Yes, I absolutely loved the heck out of this book. I cannot get enough of it. I was sorely tempted to hurl my e-reader when I reached the end because that was one EPIC cliffhanger! I am clamoring and not above begging to read the next one cause that ending is just, GAH! I love, love, love this!

Oh me, oh my. The mind blowing twists. The blurb tempted me, the story addicted me. This page turner digs its hooks deep and leaves you at its mercy until the very last page which takes your breath away in one heck of a cliffhanger. This will be the the book that either turns you on to bully romance or make your love for it even stronger.
