Okay sorry to start this off like that, but the ending was super awkward. I just can't imagine a group of 8 people just watching on as the romantic drama between their three fellow covenants (is that the correct use of the word? I don't know and am also sick, so I don't care) is finally resolved and basically boils down to "well, go and have him, you're soulmates after all", like just imagine the awkwardness of watching that go down!!
Aside from that though I am still positively surprised by the series and enjoyed following the characters and their growth a lot. Diana is such a lovely character, because even though she's ridiculously perfect, it just works and she's so nice without seeming completely unrealistic. I really wish the books had been longer to the other characters could have had more screen time, as they are, 12 "main" characters was just too many to keep track off and properly integrate into a one POV story (and I'm not asking for multiple POVs, okay, I don't like those for the most part). But still there is so much love and compassion and understanding between the characters while still including natural differences in opinion and small fights, but the friendships felt real.
The plot was also interesting, even though funnily enough the plot seemed to be the least important thing in the whole trilogy, which I just thought was hilarious.

L.J Smith is one of my favorite YA authors. She proved it again with the Secret Circle series. I believe the VD are nothing compare to the SC.

Well, let me start with the final It had EVERYTHING: suspence, terror, romance (well I wanted dome more between Adam and Cassie:P), emotions... The writing was as always stimulating, the atmosphere magical and mythical. I felt like being in the Middle Times!

The characters were again amazing- so much emotions from Cassie and Adam, but I really fell for Nick, too!- Diana was sweet , caring and selfless, Faye as always dangerous but smart... I really enjoyed this book, I was gasping for some air while I was DEVOURING this book. You heard me...I DEVOURED IT!

The series are worth reading. It's like watching a freaking tv-serie! (No, I won't comment for the tv-series, there's NOTHING alike these books) It's definetely a MUST on your library!

Some drawbacks now: I think L.J Smith's books (VD and SC) are too YA for me. She targets in sixteen year-old. For example, I wanted more romance and more pages...:P LOL! Also, I'd love if she wrote more about their inner world.. It was just something I missed.

I vote for a new novel!!! Something more!! NOT from a ghost author, though! Finally, I believe Diana was too good... I don't know if I'd left my boyfriend (for years) to a new girl... :/

Overall, read this series!!!! Forget about the tv-series it's the product of the next book of a ghost author.

Just TAKE THE BOOKS and forget about th show!

Sky and sea, keep harm from me. Earth and Fire, bring my desire.
I seriously loved the spells! And that last fight with Black John. Well, it was supposed to be the last book but we all know what happened there...Still, I really love the whole eternities theme and just everything about it.

These books are like a walk back to my childhood. I love them so much. Do they stand the test of time, I think so - but I’m super biased, so probably not looking at them very clearly.

Also, Faye has a beeper in this book, which was a serious flashback

This trilogy is the real deal. Love the story and the characters. A fast paced read that’s easy to lose yourself in and characters that will stay with you. If you like magic and YA, you should give this classic a go.
