I felt like this book kind of turned into a romance novel, but at least it got better in the end, bringing the plot back to the original one. There was also a lot of s*xual content in this one which really frustrated me because the first one wasn't like that at all.

I would have given this a higher rating because I did really enjoy this book, even if it was quite confusing at times.

But I felt as though there was a sex scene written in unnecessary, excruciating detail in every other chapter.

Kingdom of the Cursed is an amazing sequel that is full of even more mysteries, intrigue, twists, and Princes of the Underworld that will keep you guessing on who to believe and trust.

I love that Kingdom of the Cursed takes place in the Underworld because it definitely pays homage to Dante's Inferno while putting Kerri Maniscalco's own twist on it. I am still in love with the author's ability to create such vivid descriptions that brings everything to life. I still want a cookbook from this series (fingers crossed), ALL the clothes, and there are some beautiful places I would love to visit. I also enjoyed seeing all the court intrigue among all the princes and the houses and can't wait to see what happens next!!!

Wrath and Emilia are my favorite literary couple now because their bantering is just so funny, and their sexual tension is so delicious! I am really rooting for those two and look forward to seeing what happens in Kingdom of the Feared!

“One thing I can promise,” his voice was deep and sensual in the dark, “is you won’t ever doubt it’s real when I touch you.”

If ever there was a book to embody the words, "sexual tension," it is definitely this book, hands down.
Especially the scene at the Crescent Shallows?? JAKXNKSKXNANnsnalsfokencl aaaaaa.
I love how both Emilia and Wrath try in their own way to respect the other, but maaaaaan, they're so horny it's insane. And everyone can see it lol.

Any doubts I had with the first book disappeared in this one. I enjoyed it oh so much. From the worldbuilding and imagery to the descriptions of the attired donned by the characters, to how every clue ties into each other, it was all perfect.

The banter between the characters is super funny to read. Emilia is written beautifully. She's strong, but she still has weaknesses that she acknowledges. Her emotional struggles make her very real and not just another "she's badass and totally untouchable" characters.

Can't wait to read the next book.
