I debated this rating because Kristy Cunning - like most self-published authors - would benefit tremendously from a proofreader, but this series was so much fun.  I haven’t raced through a series so quickly in a long, long time, and this final book wrapped up every dangling thread perfectly and in such a way that the conclusion felt planned from the very beginning of book one.

I remember when there was just me and a wall of dildos. I miss those days. Now the kraken has eaten all the ducks, and the world has come to an end.

Oh! Pretty pony! Oh, no, wait, that’s Vance’s ass walking out of the room.

I absolutely loved this series and I'm going to missed it all so much!! From Violets crazy antics, Arion's psychopathic nature, Damien stalker behavior and Anna's madness I love them all!!! Kristy Cunnings is such a brilliant writer and will forever be one of my favourites XD

80% of this series just wasn't for me. way too complicated and long for me personally.
I couldn't connect with Violet at all, but the guys were fun and somehow made this series enjoyable, even though I didn't understand a thing about what was going on.

So this series is a reread for me and is one of my favorite reads of all time. The reason I decided to reread this series is for two things: bookish hangover and spreading the word. I had just finished reading ACOSF and was feeling the book hangover of the ages. None of the books on my TBR sounded appealing to me and since I had just gushed about this series’s author, I just had to reread it. I also wanted to spread the word about this series because it is just so so SO good and people need to know about it!

This series is one of the wackiest and craziest series I have ever read in many ways. It was the most unique one I have ever read and I honestly never EVER could predict anything that could happen. The author made such an insane, complex, weird, and creative book world from anything I have ever read. The slow burn was NOT in the romance, although there was a little of that, but in the world building. You would think that you understood the dynamics and the main points of what was going on, but a character would do or say something and it would just change EVERYTHING you thought. IT DROVE ME INSANE IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE! Yes, some readers may not like this aspect of the book, but I loved it because you just never knew what was going to happen and that unpredictability is what I LIVE FOR!

Other than the book world, this read is one of my favorites because of the main character Violet and THE HUMOR. OMG THIS BOOK IS HILARIOUS! Yes, it could be dark and depressing on occasion, but it was so full of funny scenes that you would forget sometimes how truly dark and dismal it could get. There were so many moments during the book that I would spit on my kindle or run giggling to the bathroom because I was laughing so hard. It was just ridiculous and I loved every second of it.

Violet also was such a wonderful character that everyone could use in their lives. She just didn’t care at ALL what people thought of her and it was just so refreshing. The only thing she truly cared about were other people’s feelings and it was truly heartwarming to read. The other thing about this wonderful character that I admired was her strength to keep going. TRULY NOTHING COULD KEEP THIS GIRL DOWN AND I WAS SO HERE FOR IT! She was so honest about who she was and what she wanted and it was so refreshing for me.

Overall, this series was such a wonderful read and I truly believe that everyone should read it.

Re-read 3/23/20: I've decided the next re-read is when I'll finally review this. If I do it not I'll cry because I love this series that much.

Re-read 1/20/20: Spent three days re-reading the series. I loss a lot of sleep and probably still won't review this in a way it deserves for a while. I'm still absolutely addicted to the story and the characters. You can suggest that this is a bit overwhelming, and it was. However, it was in the best way possible.

For the foreseeable future I shall be in a slump because of how fucking epic this book was. When I feel the slump is over, I shall come back and give this book a review it deserves. Until then, I’ll be re-reading the book.
