Amazing Ending, so sad its over

I loved every bit of this series! I love that each of her guys hits the classic "monster" romance stereotypes without being grossly overdone. I'm so sad it's over, this book hangover is gonna take a while to cure

This book was epic, honestly the way the author brought everything together was astounding. It was confusing, but the author explained everything so well. And did POV hops that made sense. I was SHOCKED by the ending, to say the least. I did not see that coming!

Spoilers below:

I did end up giving this four stars because there were moments that dragged, or felt over explained, or felt redundant. I also really wish there had been more moments for romance, and for all five of them together (though the ending scenes were epic). I also think certain plot points needed to be explored more: Demetria, Marta, BoBo, Damien’s beta & Shera, Shera in general, and some of the things to do with Anna. Though I enjoyed the pacing, I feel this book would’ve been better split into two books. There would have been more room for an epilogue, that was a bit longer exploring their son, their relationship dynamic, rebuilding, the simpletons finding their place, etc.

Edit: I just found out the author passed in 2021. May she rest in peace. I feel like she was going to continue this universe, but I’m so happy I got to read this series and enjoy her work. A true loss

Excellent story, but the sexiness was very disappointing. It promised a lot but didn’t deliver at all. I was surprised about who her monster turned out to be. The misdirect was on point as well.

Review for the series:

Everyone is obsessed with Idun. Apparently she’s the villain that thrives on fears, which should mean they should give her minimal attention but noooo, everyone, in every page is either talking or thinking about her even before they knew she had woken up.

I mean, the guys, I can understand a bit, but it was weird when Violet went down on Arion and she asked before she continued if Idun had ever—it was just so weird.

She’s their ex for God’s sake!

I had a hard time imagining the characters most especially Violet, I couldn’t tell if she was a blondie, brunette, or had dark hair.

It was mentioned once or twice Vance had dark blonde hair or so, and that was all.

Emit was just existing, the story would have happened if he didn’t exist, that was how insignificant he was. Although I liked some of his moments, he was cute… sometimes.

Arion gave me major Klaus Mikaelson vibes which was why I mainly continued with this series but the more I got into the book the more embarrassed I was to ever compare him to THE ORIGINAL HYBRID.

A lot was going on at the same time it felt like nothing was going on.

Honestly, this wasn’t a RH, i—I don’t even know what to call it.

3.5 stars for the series because of the action and the author’s writing style. Really, and her creativity was good.

I don't think I have thoroughly enjoyed any book series as much as this one. From the beginning I was hooked, and that carried all the way to the end, never once waning . The storytelling is phenomenal, the characters and environments jump right off the page. You'll swoon, laugh, maybe even cry a little. Trust me, you WONT be disappointed!

Such an amazing conclusion

This series has been amazing from the very beginning. But this book was an epic conclusion. Everything we thought we knew and all the theories we made, she decided to disregard and go in a completely different direction. So many twists. So exciting. I can’t wait for her next series. Loved every single one of these books. This is one of my all time favorite series!!
