I really love this series, it’s so imaginative and creative! The characters are well thought out, and have depth to them. It can be a little harder getting to know main characters when POV changes a lot, but on the other hand it’s appealing when you get to see all the main characters POV too. It’s a very detailed series, and a lot going on which was great! Sad that I’ve finished it though, but hope there will be spin offs for the other characters (Jasper, hint hint...!)

This was one of my favorite series. I love violet. She was funny and sweet and cared about the people no one else did. The first five books built up to this great ending you could feel coming but it just fell short.

Violet has a ton of secrets and when she finally reveals them it just results in complete bafflement from her guys then they go back to treating her like a child and a bit of a moron. She defeats the great Idun after no one else can and they still show her no respect. Plus her fight with Idun happens off page so we dont even get to see Violet kick ass. We just a vague recap after it's over. So that was disappointing.
Then we find out about her monster and violet repeatedly explains that her monster is a completely different entity to her. But her guys who only want her blah blah blah, force her to allow them to have sex with her monster and she just lets them. It felt too much like cheating to me. I did not like it and it may have been the thing that ruined it the most. I still love the first five but wouldn't recommend the sixth.

4.5 stars.
Which, coincidentally, I think is the overall rating I’d give the series.
I really enjoyed reading about these gypsies. It was a cool explanation for some very famous monsters that I’d have never thought of.
I especially enjoyed Violet’s monster. So fucking cool.

I read Four Psychos before this series and you have too, or are planning to, you’ll see how similar Anna and “Keyla” are, at least at the very beginning of this story. Then they very clearly and distinctly diverge. Another cool concept I’d have never thought of.

The alphas are all so uniquely themselves and so completely monstrous, it’s very entertaining to see them all interact with not only each other, but also all of their underlings, and Violet as well.

After reading both Four Psychos and this series I’ve noticed that this author seems to really enjoy a seemingly sweet, innocuous, female lead, who very viciously saves the day in the end. Because she’s not so innocent and defenseless as she’s appeared to be since the very start. And until then, all the men, who seem so much stronger and smarter than her, consistently condescend, and underestimate the heroine.
It’s maddening and entirely too entertaining all at once.

The storyline is rich and immersive and very creative. Revolving around something I’ve personally never seen before, but found immensely fascinating.

The characters are fun and deep, and go through plenty of growth to become even better by the end. Learning from their mistakes and gaining confidence with each new piece of knowledge.

The sex is plentiful and sexy. Not surprising when you have a Deviant, a Vampire, a Van Helsing Hunter, and a Wolf all clambering for the same little gypsy freak.

I really liked these books. I couldn’t make myself stop since she was cruel and put so many cliffhangers in. I just Had to forge ahead and get my damn answers.

So glad I read these.

When i finished downloading this book on my app, i was shocked to see how long it was. Usually, the books in this series are like 300 pages but this was twice as long.

I'm so torn about everything right now, because i didn't feel like this book needed to be 600 pages long. There are things happening that could have been easily cut off and sometimes we want to see more of Violet's point of view? most of the time we just had the guys being like "what the fuck is ong on".

The part that deceived me the most, and i also said this when i read book 5, is: Idun is underwhelming. She's so underwhelming it hurts. The first 3 books built a scary, manipulative, abusive, powerfull character and yet, she's none of that.
A lot of things are revealed about Idun including the fact that she was awake for much longer than 4 years and had time to plot her revenge. She almost succeded if it wasn't for violet. We disovered her true "motive": she just wants her guys back, it's not explictly said in the book but she's jaleous of violet, and that's the thing she asks the "monstar" quad to do: she wants them to treat her the same as they treat violet.

So we have Idun, who was always painted as the one that sits on top of the food chain and in one night, she just gets distroyed by Violet's monster. In a span of a night, she is no more. And i found that so underwhelming. You spent 4 books convincing us that Idun was sacry and powerfull why don't you show us at least a battle?

Another thing: Violet's monster. It just "comes out of nowhere" and saves the night. It was very frustrating not to be able to have Violet's point of view during the battle. Instead we just follow the guys being lost and not really providing usefull aswers.

And after the battle, everything is just explained very quickly while violet bakes Idun's head in the oven like all is well. I was okay with violet keeping secrets and even a whole identity, that's not the problem. I think the problem lies in the reveal. I think when you want to reveal something that big, you have to prepare it: have clues and inuendos throughout the series. The reveal about Violet's monster wasn't dome cleverly it just came out of nowhere. Yes we had doubs about violet's character but the reveal just feels rushed, I just felt like a whole load of information got dumped of me at the end of the book.

I'm not even going to elaborate on Talbot and Pandora, who appear out of nowhere and are useless on top of that. The series has ended and I still don't have a fucking clue what does pandora have to do with the story and the creation of Hyde is just stupid... dude how do you get drunk and create a monster?

So yeah, even thought the book is so freaking long, i still feel like this ending is rushed. the author answered many of the questions asked throughout the whole series and everything is tied up together in the end. But i'm just disapointed if the ending. it's too messy. The suspense was built for far too long to end in that very anticlimatic way.

Let's just get this straight: Cunning created a very complex yet cohesive universe and that's why I stuck around for so long. Her characters are very fun to read about and it's overall entertining. I'm not even going to talk about the sex scenex: damn they get better each book, ,not gonna cimplong about that.

Overall, this series started off so strong. It kept building this huge epic ending. Sadly, it ends on a weak note, living us frustrated, with some questions still lingering.

I've put off reading all of these books, it's just kind of heartbreaking there won't ever be more. Once I've read them, that's it. So I've tried to savor them.

I LOVED this series and the take on monster lore. I got pretty frustrated at times waiting for answers but it was always worth it. As expected, I'm bummed to have finished. It ended and I can't help but wonder if there was more planned.

Now THAT’S how you end a series

Holy duckballs that was an amazing read. The only thing I didn’t enjoy was how they guys treated Violet like a well, like a Simpleton.. it was so annoying how little they thought of her at times. And yes, she was purposely keeping everyone in the dark with everything, but come on men, have a little faith in your girl and stop treating her like she’s a complete idiot. I’m so glad she pulled one over on them with the hotel; completely broke my heart when she dropped the ball on them after they screwed up for that long. I was so proud of her for that. Anyways, give this series a go if you’re debating it, it is more than worth it. This book gets a little gory with the fight scene that finally happens but man oh man, that was a battle to remember. I’ll hope for a spin-off series of some sort so we can find out more about Shera and Jasper in the later in life.
