An easy read, and a silly one. It would be good for a young middle grader, even an elementary read, the storytelling is very unsophisticated. Time travel is tricky and Kessler is a bit sloppy with it, lots of unanswered questions and loose ends but I am viewing it through the lens of an adult. A child would probably find it fun and new and this book would give them much to think about. It's not terrible, but it's not knocking my socks off either. I would recommend to a conservative fourth grader who likes realistic fiction with a touch of fantasy.

This was a really good story about an accidental time traveler who tries to prevent a tragedy from happening to her best friend. This is a great story for those who like middle grade fiction.

Things I liked:
- The plot was very unique and exciting. There were a lot of plot twists and the story line keeps you engaged the entire time.
- Cute ending and everything works out the way it is supposed to.
- Poses great questions about fate.
- Great friendship between Jenni and Autumn.

I really enjoyed the Emily Windsnap series so I was expecting to like this new novel by Liz Kessler, but was very disappointed. The story was so frustrating and I forced myself to read it until the end to see if the resolution was worth all the irritation the book caused me. The ending was alright, but this book just put me in a bad mood from all the anxiety and frustration of the two main characters. I also have no idea who I would want to recommend this to, and especially not any children. This idea could have been so much better if it had been lighter or if the main character hadn't been so annoying!

I enjoyed the book but I am not sure which of my students would enjoy it. The science fiction students may not like it because of the realistic fiction feel to it. But the realistic fiction kids may like it just because of that reason.

i used to be obsessed with this book when i read it in like 2010 or something
